Nadine Chase Releases "Cut To The Chase"
Jazz
vocalist Nadine Chase proudly debuts her first CD, "CUT TO THE CHASE."
Get
on board with what fans are already acclaiming is an elegant showcase
of smooth, sophisticated jazz standards that include "You Go To My
Head," "Blue Moon," a finger-snapping rendition of "Secret
Love," and the original title tune, "Cut To The Chase."
With absolutely outstanding guitar accompaniment by John Baboian (this
guy's amazing!) the distinctive style of Mark Pucci on bass (listen to
the splendid blend of vocals and bass on "I'm In the Mood for Love)
and the impeccable complimentary playing of Gordon Grottenthaler on drums,
this CD is a must for your collection. Nadine Chase has a soft and sultry
sound that invites you to kick-back, put another log on the fire, and
drift into the silky images she creates with her voice.
Nadine grew up in Brooklyn and was influenced by big-band music, the beginnings of rock n'roll and the Motown sound, and all the richness of Broadway. As a teenager, she sang "street-corner" harmonies, and later was invited to perform on the road with a show band, moving on to sing with a jazz trio in Boston and New York.
Although vocally versatile, jazz is Nadine's forte. She has performed with big band orchestras and her trio at most of Boston's top venues. Nadine sang at an inaugural celebration at the State House, a concert for MusicAmerica along with Ron Gill of WGBH reknown, and has also been invited to sing in Italy, China, Japan and Mexico. One of her interests is encouraging adults and children to sing and "find their voice" in their own creative way. She has been involved with such groups as the Institute of Noetic Science and The Society for Organizational Learning to bring this concept to fruition.
Nadine Chase has a unique vocal sound, reminiscent of Julie London, and Blossom Dearie, soft, sensual, easy on the ear. Give "Cut To The Chase" a listen and see if you're not seduced.
